RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. The school diary is a major means of communication between home and school. It must be brought to school everyday. Home work and announcements made in school must be noted in it. Parents should peruse it every day. Loss or damage to it will mean replacing it with a new one. 2. Every student and staff should speak only in English within the school campus. 3. Bring only the prescribed text books and note books. 4. It is compulsory for every student to wear the prescribed uniform including foot-wear and to be clean and well groomed at all times. Boys shall not wear their pants below the waist-level. Simple wrist watches are allowed only from Standard VII onwards. Boys will maintain short hair. 5. Valuable gold ornaments should not be worn in school. Students are responsible for all their belongings. The school does not take any responsibility for any valuables or money lost or misplaced in the school. If you find anything belonging to school or any other student, entrust it in the office. 6. The students who cause any loss or damage to the school property are responsible to replace them. 7. Student’s participation in all extra curricular activities and school functions is compulsory, unless declared physically unfit or exempted by the Principal. 8. All communications (requests, suggestion and complaints) must be addressed to the Principal / Other Authorities notified by the management only. Direct dealing either with the teaching or the non teaching staff directly is prohibited. 9. Students may not make any collection for any purpose what so ever without prior sanction of the school authorities 10. The school reserves right to terminate the schooling of students for unsatisfactory progress in studies or whose conduct is a bad percept for others. 11. Forging of signature is considered a serious offence and any student found doing so is liable to immediate dismissal. 12. While moving from one class to another take care not to disturb other classes. Always move in a line. 13. Students are not expected to offer gifts to teachers or to their friends. 14. Students are to use the left side of the staircase and corridors to move.Shouting, whistling and running in the corridors are strictly prohibited. 15. No student is expected to move while the prayer is recited or National Anthem is sung. 16. Use of mobile phones, i- pod, camera, etc by students in the school is strictly prohibited. 17. If the photos are to be attested by the Principal, it should be in school uniform. 18. Parents/Guardians are not allowed to meet their childrenor teaching staff during school hours or examinations. NOTE TO P ARENTS 1. Ensure that your ward reaches the school before the first bell by 8.50 a.m. 2. All students are expected to come to school daily in freshly laundered uniform. 3. Ensure that your ward wears only modest dress at the time of celebrations. 4. Check the school bag daily and make sure that the assignments are done regularly 5. Keep in touch with teachers regularly to verify your child’s progress and activities in the school. 6. Parents are requested to check the School Diary of their ward daily. Remarks made in the Diary should be signed regularly. 7. Avoid criticism of teachers and the school particularly in the presence of students. It could lead to lack of respect for the teachers and the student may even fail to gain the benefits of being taught. 8. As your ward advances in age, guide him/ her to become a resourceful and useful member at home and in the society. With this view in mind, students will be assigned various duties, some petty little manual work in the school for encouraging self - help for work and study. 9Taking your child/ ward from classes for social functions often is not recommended. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS. 1. Be simple and sincere in your ways and words, never make a Show-off of yourself. 2. Be clean and tidy. Have a regular bath. Comb your hair and clean your finger nails. 3. In your dress and behaviour keep a sense of self respect. You owe it to yourselves, your parents and to your school. Keep your standard. 4. If you have to attend public function, concerts etc., never disturb by talking or making any other noise. 5. Never hesitate to obey the bell. 6. All the students must be in their seats before the teacher enters the class. During the absence of a teacher the monitor of the class, responsible for maintaining discipline, must be obeyed. 7. Students should take care of school property. They should not write or scratch on the desks, chairs, walls or doors of the school nor should they damage the property of others. Any damage done to school property must be remitted by the offender. 8. The school will not be responsible if a student loses money or some article. Money should not be lent nor borrowed, nor articles exchanged. 9. A student who uses unfair means during tests/ exams, tampers with the marks, answer sheets or report card will be given zero mark in the subject. The parents will have to give an undertaking at all such malpractices. 10. Students are not allowed to go to their friends’ houses for birthday parties, etc. directly from school. 11. Students must keep their bicycles locked and in the cycle - stand. They should not ride their bicycle within the campus. 12. Students are expected to behave in a courteous and gentle manner on all occasions. They should address their teachers and all members of the staff with due respect and politeness. 13. Students are not allowed to linger in the shops or bakeries on the way to school or back home. 14. Students are to retain from bringing any sharp objects to school 15. Students who use offensive language are liable to be punished 16. Bursting of crackers and playing with colour of any other such undesirable activity is liable to lead to expulsion from the school 17. Students for tampering with the school records e.g. marks allottedby teachers in tests/ exams are liable to strict disciplinary action. 18. Students are not supposed to leave the class without permission or miss any teaching/games/activity period. 19. Students who bring any object to school which can cause harm or damage to school personel or property will be subjected to strict disciplinary action as per the school rules 20. Students are advised to keep their class rooms/School building/ campus as neat as possible and make use of dustbin. 21. Movements for activities and at dispersal should be done in silence and in an oderly fashion. 22. Students are expected to respect school properly and the properly of others. No Students should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or any way damage things belonging to others. FOR THE FRESHERS OF KINDER GARTEN 1. Regular attendance of the child is crucial for the success of education. Children suffering from infectious diseases will not be permitted to attend classes until cured and a medical certificate is produced. Absence for one day also should be informed to the office. 2. Check your child’s bag everyday. All the books must be kept neat and well labelled. Drawing and scribbling in the textbooks and notebooks will not be accepted. Articles which are not of the child should be returned the very next day. 3. Children should not bring marbles, coins or any other such items to avoid any possible mishaps. 4. Parents are requested to co-operated in the working of the school by enforcing regularity, punctuality and discipline and by taking interest in their ward’s Progress. 5. Through out the year each student is assessed in a continuous and comprehensive system of evaluation 6. Encourage your child to speak in English 7. Neatly ironed uniform should be worn daily 8. Punctually is the key to success. Each child is unique and special in St. Paul’s Public Nursery school. Leave applications to be filled in the allotted page of the diary. Half day leave will not be granted unless it is an emergency. It can be taken only with the permission from the office. |
